Grading information
Each student must complete a minimum practice
requirement between grades . This consists of practice time, and
attendance on Lancashire Aikikai general courses. Note that these
are minimum requirements, your instructors may determine that more
practice is required.
6th Kyu - 30 hours
5th Kyu - 40 hours, plus 1 general course.
4th Kyu - 60 hours, plus 2 general courses.
3rd Kyu - 70 hours, plus 2 general courses.
2nd Kyu - 80 hours, plus 2 general courses.
1st Kyu - 100 hours, plus 3 general courses.
1st Dan - 1 year since 1st Kyu, plus 4 general
courses
2nd Dan - 2 years since 1st Dan, plus 6
general course
3rd Dan - 3 years since 2nd Dan, plus 8 general
course
4th Dan - 5 years since 3rd Dan
5th Dan - 6 years since 4th Dan
